Are you saying that the OPs time was/is more valuable than the time of four other people? WTF?

Whatever the math is, the OP did not extend the time intended when the game began. It was most likely "annoying" to the other team because it was 4v1 and the odds were against him. Although who was to say that the other 4 could has possibly been W/Mo's with HH? and he was a Anti Melee Dom mesmer? Could he have won? Yes. Just because the odds are against you does not mean you are going to lose, the odds of it are increased.

With a guild cape like yourself you should note this, and understand that its not 1v8 in GvG. This is RA with a time limit and restrictions. There are too many theorhetical things that can happen to sway the favor of both sides. Reasoning with posts like above are what drive me to just make it quick and simple yet I think sometimes people cannot understand to read between the lines as well.
In defence of the OP you did nothing wrong you played the game, and because they are driven like mad for glad points for whatever reason they were ignorant. Now on the other hand the OP was not an angel either, he could have left early but that was not his decision nor did he know they were frustrated with him until the very end of the match, although not much typing ever happens in RA matches except for the lingo that was posted already.

4 people being immature does not mean that one persons time is more valuable then the others... where did you get this?

I don't think you should have stayed. Typing /resign would have saved their team the time of a pointless battle and possibly could have got you closer to your glad point with a new team. You knew you couldn't progress in that particular battle any further with yourself. Not only is it a waste of their time, but yours as well.

If you're just singing and staying there for the sake of allowing time to run out, I'd be mad too.

Why do you think OP was being mature? Because he posted nice well spelled piece about how immature others are?

Chances are, if one person from other side posted similar article, you could be VERY suprised what chat was about before very mature "they keep photos of me, yananananana".

Point stands: in case of 4 jerks (whatever) having fun vs 1 jerk havign fun, well,is is so hard to choose?

What seems extremely funny to me from a casual PvP'ing perspective is that people are so angry over 3 minutes wasted. Is it really that big of a deal?

I guess it is, its like scrapping your way through when your in line to watch a movie... we spend on average I recall 7-8 years of our fully lived lives "waiting". That was pretty scary.

You'd be surprised. I watch my roommate, who will actually go through MORE work (opening up map, clicking on RA) instead of waiting 3-4 seconds to have the computer automatically do it for him.

And I'm assuming the same is for others who quit and then I see in the next game.

---

Anyways, I have never left a game, and never will. Regardless of how hopeless it is (you can blame the military for that state of mind.) I don't give up, and I don't expect my team to either, but sadly they don't have the same resolve.

This is how I look at it. By clicking that "enter match" button you've agreed to play (hopefully) ten matches. There is no set time those ten matches could take, since the maps are random (it could be mostly death matches, or kill counts). There is no set team composition, you don't pick your team, the whole point of it is you play with what you have.

I've been in matches of 2v4 and still won. I've been in matches that last 30 minutes. The majority of my gladiator points were earned with teams that lacked a Monk. You never know what works, until you try.

People want perfect, but there is no such thing as a perfect team in guild wars.

If I set down at the computer for two hours, then however I'm playing the game for two hours is fine enough for me. That could be six levels of PvE, farming, 20 RA matches or 1 (or a combination of the above.) Playing the game is fun for me, regardless.

I would have done the same thing as the op, people that start tossing insults like that don't deserve to be appeased.

I had an experience when I started a Hero battle where my opponent kept telling me to quit, even before the battle started. I couldn't really care less about what pvpers like that think. As for as I can tell, this is a video game I am playing. they only play to win, I'm doing it cause its fun. I really couldn't care less if I'm gunna win or get "pwnd".

Ill play no matter how many members i lose, if the other team wants to cry about it for "wasting" 2 minutes then tough ****, they could quit just as easily, they just wanted free wins.

We saw hadly any insults aimed to OP. In fact, all he have evidecne of very VERY mild insult after 2 / 3 minute mark.

I am quite sure that OP would post more of how those bad bad people treated him, if it was remotelly possible.

whatever.

Amazing how people who spend hours spamming in the towns will weep about three minutes wasted in RA.....

[And yes, I'm saying the four immature insult-posters are the same guys who go spamming in the towns. Immature is immature and it reflects in game-wide behaviour. It even reflects in the posts in the forum.]

If you take anything said in RA to heart enough to make a forum post about it...

You probably don't deserve to be PvP'ing.

Someone called you a douche. Oh dear. Want mummy to kiss it better?
